Since 2004, I've sent over 750,000 email messages for small businesses just like yours...
And most of those businesses had less than 5,000 email addresses.
The truth is; I did much more than just send the emails – I designed, built, tested, tracked and reported on almost all of them.
Recently, I partnered with a company named CreateSend who supplies the "back-end" of the 6IX Email Software. With CreateSend's technical skills and my first-hand experience, I'm able to give small businesses a cheap and easy way to connect with their customers by email.
What does 6IX mean and what's with that logo?
If you've got a few minutes to spare right now, here's the strange, sometimes uncomfortable and personal story of why I use 6IX and how it all started...
Have you ever had a palm reading?
In June (the sixth month) of 2007 I had a palm reading – and I got some bad news. The woman reading my palm was looking at the "life line" and said it's very short – so short that she said I had about six months to live.
Ouch right?
Even if she was wrong about the time line, I believe she told me exactly what I needed to hear. Essentially, she said "Life is short... Just do it... Follow your dreams..." But she said it in a way that motivated me to do something I wouldn't have done – start a business.
Believe me... If someone says you've got 6 months to live – you'll start looking at life differently – and taking chances you wouldn't have.
So that's why I started 6IX Marketing – the number 6 reminds me to look at each day like I've got just 6 months left.
The 6IX Logo
The idea to spell "six" with the number instead of the letter "s" was a brilliant idea by a friend who's an extremely talented print and logo designer. He's also the guy responsible for the six-fingered palm icon – a tribute to the palm reading and 6 months. If you'd like my friend Brandon to work on some of your print materials, just send me an email below and I'll give him your contact information.
Now, I'm building my very own small business while helping other small businesses grow...
